Nicholas Gigante is a Masters student at New York University studying percussion performance. He earned his undergraduate degree in Music Education at the University of South Florida, where he received the merit award for percussion and the Green and Gold award. His private teachers include James Saporito, Simon Boyar, and Robert McCormick. Gigante thrives as a performer and an educator. In addition to being an active freelance musician in New York City, he is a founding member of the percussion duo Washington Squared and a member of the percussion collective Cisum Percussion. He has performed in many musicals, such as being a local musician in Broadway's tour of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. He has been teaching and arranging for high school marching bands for six years, as well as teaching the world champion indoor percussion ensemble INFINITY 2.
